After three decades, I am still drawn to what makes this work special: capturing moments that tell a story, creating images that resonate, and working with talented people to bring a vision to life—all while having fun.

The industry has transformed since I started—new tech, new cameras, new formats, new workflows—but the heart of the work remains unchanged. It's about understanding your subject and serving the narrative.

Much of the work involves creative problem-solving in real time—finding the shot in a challenging space, improvising camera movement, and making smart decisions to keep the production moving. Production also requires assessing what a shoot needs and organizing the approach efficiently to make the most of everyone's time and budget. Every project is a team effort, and I value the crew and talent I work with as much as the final product.
