cinematographer, director/cameraman, camera operator, editor, photographer
You know that question, “So, what do you do?"
Well, what I do… is mostly consider myself lucky.
After working more than 30 years in this business, I still think it is extraordinary that I have a career “making films” and “taking pictures.” Why? Because it is something that I really enjoy doing. I am offered opportunities to be part of telling a story, creating an emotion, or making a subject appear captivating with light, shadows, composition, and movement. And the constant evolution of media technology has made those efforts incredibly interesting and exciting. I love it!
However, it is not really about the camera or the technology, is it? It is really about the people around the camera. Whether an operator, cinematographer, photographer, or director – I am only a piece of the big picture. Yes, the director has the vision and drives the ship, but the image or story can never be fully realized without the many talents of the people on the stage and behind the scenes.
So, it is because of these men and women in the craft, with whom I work, that I am able to present some examples of what I love doing. With my experience and good work ethic, I hope you will invite me to help tell your story and be part of your big picture.
That’s what I do.
